MANNA FOOD FROM HEAVEN MINISTRIES IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION CONSISTING OF A GROUP OF CHRISTIAN MEN AND WOMEN FROM VARIOUS CHURCHES, DENOMINATIONS AND
PASTORS
Our mission is to provide a hot, home cooked, well-balanced meal to the
homeless and the hungry. Since July of 1999 we’ve come together three
times a month on the 2nd, 4th and 5th Saturdays at the Salvation Army
Building at 2100 Lakeside Avenue. We prepare the hot meals (12 cases of
chicken, green beans with white potatoes, fresh collard greens, fresh
steamed cabbage, corn on the cob, candied yams, pasta w/beef, corn bread,
peach cobbler and manna pudding) from 11:00 a.m. to about 6:00 p.m. We
feed at least 550 men at this site, then we prepare the carryout dinners
for three shelters, the Community Women Shelter (150), the Men’s Mental
Health Shelter (50), Project Share Men’s Shelter (50) and for those men,
women and children that are homeless and living on the streets of
Cleveland. We normally distribute over 950 hot meals per feeding.
Some of our accomplishments are as follows:
• The Deacons and Men of “The WORD” Church has been at the 2100 Lakeside
shelter sharing the WORD OF GOD with the residents.
• The WORD Church Outreach Ministry has sent over 25 members to the
shelter to help prepare, minister and service at both the men and women
shelter.
• As of September 2006 309 men have been led to Christ.
• Over 175,000 hot meals have been distributed to the homeless and hungry
• We assisted in finding housing for those in need.
• Provided two weeks worth of groceries to families with children.
• The Share A Christmas Dream has given away over 2500 toys and gifts that
benefited Five homeless shelters.
• Joined the Mary Grace Network for the second year in October with the
Dignity Fair at Cuyahoga Community College and fed over 2500 people.
• Became a member of The Cleveland Foodbank.
• Being in God’s Favor.
